What is qigong & what will you learn?
Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) is a mind-body practice that originated in China thousands of years ago. It is a system of coordinated body postures, breathing exercises, and mental focus that are designed to promote health, well-being, and spiritual development.
Qi (pronounced “chee”) can refer to the insubstantial, or subtle, processes and substances within us, and around us. Including breath, hormones, energy and other functions of our bodies plus external Subtleties such as sunlight, electromagnetic forces, food, water and the air we breathe.
When speaking of Qi in terms of energy, Qi is said to flow through the body along pathways called meridians. When qi is flowing freely, the body is healthy and balanced. However, when qi is blocked or stagnant, it can lead to illness or disease.
Qigong exercises are designed to help to improve the flow of qi through the body. This is done by combining slow, gentle movements with deep, rhythmic breathing and focused attention. The goal of qigong is to achieve a state of relaxation and mental clarity, which allows the body’s natural healing abilities to work more effectively.
There are many different types of qigong, each with its own specific focus. Some qigong practices are designed to improve physical health, such as by reducing stress, improving circulation, and strengthening the immune system. Other qigong practices are designed to promote spiritual development, such as by increasing concentration, improving intuition, and developing compassion.

What are the Nei Dan Qigong classes?

Balancing the 4 Realms; Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual.
These classes are designed for all levels, beginners and advanced practitioners alike. The Qigong class is taught in a clear and concise manner which allows beginners to follow along. Depth of technique and understanding is added to allow further progression for experienced practitioners. Sifu Nathan’s Standing Qigong curriculum consists of 5 levels of different Qigong practices. Our weekly classes are woven together combining techniques from the 5 levels. Creating a diverse class, that is never boring, but allows the student to grasp key concepts and techniques. Included in these classes sis a simplified Tai Chi form.
By turning your conscious mind inward you will begin to connect with yourself on a new level. Developing awareness of every part of your physical being, balancing your nervous system and regulating your emotional state. During the class you will complete a specific set of physical movements designed to lubricate the joints and increase your range of motion. Then you will learn how to focus the breath, returning it to its most optimal state, which balances the nervous system and resets our mental and emotional energy. Finally, you will discover how to increase your energy levels, and feel a heightened state of vitality and health. From here you will learn all of the various methods of connecting to, and refining your own energy and health.
