I first started with Head Academy, I was 16 years old with low self-esteem, a lack of confidence and quite anxious. Through the guidance and wisdom of Sifu Nathan Head, the Instructors and fellow students, I achieved feats I'd never believe I could. I gained a great level of confidence and progressed to become an instructor. In 2016, I achieved my black sash, something I would never have deemed possible being a petite, young woman. Though I gained so much physically and in self defence, I also acquired skills mentally and emotionally through Head Academy's Qigong and Meditation techniques, which gave me the self-confidence I needed and pushed me through any anxieties.
